Traveled to the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Machupicchu
District in Peru over
the weekend. A long and arduous trip...I road the rickety old drain
for hours. Made it the ruins. Met up with two German gay guys, named Udo and Günter.
Ugliest names ever, My conclusion was that if you don't like kids, don't have them.
Or at the very least name them. They are adventurers, up for any
challenge. We had are red bull energy drink and jager at the ready, and the
influence of such led me to think ,"we should climb that mountain and take
a star trail photo"....Udo and Günter were game...as expert mountain climbers ,
they knew a safe and easy way to get my fat ass up to the apex of the summit.
and with intermittent stops too smoke, do shots and chuckle at my lack of
climbing skills ,...we clambered to the top...and made it to the zenith
of the mountain that oversees the ruins. At the apex, I first noticed an out house(pictured).
It was explained to me that American explorers built this structure in
1911, after finding no where to relieve themselves after getting all the way up
here...
It was strange to find three Buddhist
monks praying to a Bougainvillea bush(pictured)....I asked why they were here,,,
tending too, and fostering this out of control ,and, out of place bush
?...their response" if you cut the bush ..it will cut you in return, thus it
is, thus it shall always be.."
"...OK whatever....here's a star
trail...
